Aditi Zacharias
Director • Kerala Museum • female
Aditi Zacharias currently heads the Kerala Museum as Director. As a creative practitioner she began exhibiting her artwork at galleries in 2005 while simultaneously developing animated content for EDUSAT. She gained an MFA in London, where her concern with the role of the spectator in performance was awakened. Back in India, she continued with her independent art practice, working with video and painting with oil. Alongside making her own work, Aditi also nurtures her interest in art education. She curated the permanent collection of the Kerala Museum’s Gallery of Contemporary Indian Art. She devises workshops in mark-making, storytelling and drama for children. In February 2018, Aditi joined the Kerala Museum where she hopes to make a difference in the role of the museum and it’s visitorship. As director, she dons many hats: artwalk leader, facilitator of workshops, fundraiser, publicist, program head and planner and everything else in between.
